About Willie J. Allen Jr.

Willie J. Allen Jr. is an accomplished Florida based photojournalist skilled in reportage, portraiture, weddings and documentary photography. His work has been awarded & honored multiple times by the Pictures of The Year International, National Press Photographers Association, The Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar, Best of Photojournalism, Florida Society of News Editors and the Southern Short Course.

At age 35 he pursued his childhood dream and sought a degree in photojournalism at San Francisco State University. Willie has worked for the last thirteen years as a professional photojournalist in San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Santa Fe and New York City. His work has been published in the Washington Post, Rolling Stone Magazine, Time, The Guardian, Editor & Publisher, San Francisco Chronicle, Sports Illustrated, the New York Times and Wall Street Journal.
